
As a man of vision, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills’ burning passion for the ministry and for the church to span past this generation, has led him to raise and inspire thousands of others to build an internationally reputable ministry. From the humble beginnings of meetings in a small classroom, there has certainly been astounding growth that continues to spread, only through the power of God. Dag Heward-Mills strongly believes in the biblical great commission and has led his denomination in planting over 3000 churches in 86 different countries worldwide. He has raised over 3000 pastors. His denomination has both acquired and built over 500 buildings. By the grace of God, the ministry of Bishop Dag Heward-Mills has become a movement that has spread dynamically across the globe, blessing people around the world.

Living Faith Church Worldwide (also known as Winners Chapel) is a megachurch and a Christian denomination founded by Bishop David Oyedepo in 1983. The organization has since become a global network of churches with congregations in 65 countries. The beginnings of the church date from May 1981 when Oyedepo (aged 26) had a spiritual encounter. He claims to have an eighteen hour supernatural encounter which was a vision from God. He says God spoke to him saying, “Now the hour has come to liberate the world from all oppressions of the devil, through the preaching of the Word of faith; and I am sending you to undertake this task”.In 1983, the church began operating with four members on December 11.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is a Pentecostal megachurch and denomination founded in Lagos, Nigeria. The General overseer (most senior pastor) is Enoch Adeboye, ordained in 1981. As of August, 2018, the RCCG has a presence in 198 countries of the world. The church in Lagos has an average church attendance of 50,000. The RCCG was founded in 1952 by Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi (1909–1980) following his involvement in other churches. Rev. Akindayomi chose Enoch Adeboye as the next General overseer. As of March 2017, RCCG had a presence in 196 nations of the world, and the church continues to expand, utilizing evangelism as a core tool along with church planting.

In 1973, while serving as Math Lecturer at The University of Lagos, W.F. Kumuyi started a Bible study group with 15 university students who had come to him requesting training in the Scriptures. By the early 1980’s that small group had grown to several thousand, at which time Deeper Life Bible Church was formally established. By 1988 the congregation had grown to 50,000, and now numbers 120,000 members, making it the third largest Christian church in the world.
