God continues to use people to accomplish His will, one of which is the salvation of all humankind. As stated in 1 Timothy 2:3-4, “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” God’s desire is for everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
One way He achieves this is by raising up evangelists to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. While evangelists are specifically called to win the lost and equip the saints for evangelism, all Christians are charged with the commission of winning souls for the kingdom of God. Evangelism is not restricted to evangelists but is a responsibility for everyone who is saved, as God has given every Christian the ministry of reconciliation. In this article, we will discuss some of the notable evangelists in our world today who have been at the forefront of global evangelism within the body of Christ.
Dag Heward-Mills
Dag Heward-Mills is a renowned evangelist at the forefront of mass evangelistic crusades in the body of Christ. He is a bestselling Christian author, megachurch pastor, and international conference speaker. He dedicated his life to Christ during his teenage years and has since been fervent about the things of God. As a medical student, he founded Lighthouse Chapel International, which has grown into one of the largest churches in the world, spanning over 90 countries with more than 4,000 branches.

He currently serves as the president of Christ for All Nations (CfaN), an evangelistic organization founded by the late Reinhard Bonnke. Bonnke, a German evangelist, had a vision of a blood-washed Africa and dedicated his life to evangelizing the continent. He founded CfaN and later passed the mantle to Daniel Kolenda, his successor.

A modern-day Pentecostal prophet, Pastor Mohammed Sanogo is married to Lilian Sanogo.

Evangelism is not solely the responsibility of evangelists but also of every believer. Every Christian should be committed to fulfilling the Great Commission that Jesus gave to preach the gospel to all creation. It is the duty of every Christian to reach out to those who are lost. As Paul states in 1 Timothy 1:15, “This is a true saying, to be completely accepted and believed: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. I am the worst of them.” Jesus came into the world so that the lost would be saved. Winning the lost should be the primary goal of Christianity.
