Famous Evangelists in the world today | Dag Heward-Mills, Daniel Kolenda, Benny Hinn, Mohammed Sanogo

Throughout history, God has used many individuals to fulfill His purpose on earth, from Abraham and Noah to Moses and the disciples of Jesus Christ. God continues to use people to accomplish His will, one of which is the salvation of all humankind. As stated in 1 Timothy 2:3-4, “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” God’s desire is for everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Famous Evangelists in the world

One way He achieves this is by raising up evangelists to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. While evangelists are specifically called to win the lost and equip the saints for evangelism, all Christians are charged with the commission of winning souls for the kingdom of God. Evangelism is not restricted to evangelists but is a responsibility for everyone who is saved, as God has given every Christian the ministry of reconciliation. In this article, we will discuss some of the notable evangelists in our world today who have been at the forefront of global evangelism within the body of Christ.

Dag Heward-Mills

Dag Heward-Mills is a renowned evangelist at the forefront of mass evangelistic crusades in the body of Christ. He is a bestselling Christian author, megachurch pastor, and international conference speaker. He dedicated his life to Christ during his teenage years and has since been fervent about the things of God. As a medical student, he founded Lighthouse Chapel International, which has grown into one of the largest churches in the world, spanning over 90 countries with more than 4,000 branches.

In 2004, Dag Heward-Mills felt led by God to start the Healing Jesus Campaign with the goal of winning 100 million souls for the Lord. Since its inception, the campaign has won nearly 17 million souls for the Kingdom of God. Each Healing Jesus Campaign is marked by God’s miraculous power, healing the blind, opening deaf ears, enabling the crippled to walk, raising the dead, and more. Today, the Healing Jesus Campaign holds some of the largest evangelistic events on the African continent, with thousands gathering each night to hear the gospel message from the famous Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills.

Benny Hinn

Pastor Benny Hinn is a renowned healing evangelist who has ministered the gospel to millions worldwide. Born in Jaffa, Israel, in 1952, he and his family moved to Canada in 1968, shortly after the Six-Day War, seeking a better and more peaceful life. It was in Canada that Benny Hinn got saved and discovered the person of the Holy Spirit through the ministry of the late Kathryn Kuhlman. This profound discovery shaped the rest of his life and ministry. He documented his experiences with the Holy Spirit in his bestseller, “Good Morning, Holy Spirit.”

Conclusion on the famous Evangelists in the world

The achievements of these great evangelists are meant to inspire every Christian to embrace the ministry of reconciliation that God has entrusted to us. These remarkable men of God are called to equip the saints in the body of Christ for evangelism. The works of evangelists like Dag Heward-Mills, Daniel Kolenda, Benny Hinn, and Mohammed Sanogo should be celebrated. In my opinion, these men are currently leading the charge in global evangelism.

Evangelism is not solely the responsibility of evangelists but also of every believer. Every Christian should be committed to fulfilling the Great Commission that Jesus gave to preach the gospel to all creation. It is the duty of every Christian to reach out to those who are lost. As Paul states in 1 Timothy 1:15, “This is a true saying, to be completely accepted and believed: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. I am the worst of them.” Jesus came into the world so that the lost would be saved. Winning the lost should be the primary goal of Christianity.
